With a repurposing of the troop quarters, it could also be a really good SAR platform, and certainly more economical then most of the 600+ ton designs.

Say, keep 4 troopers for boarding, 4 medics, and repurpose the remaining staterooms into medical wards.

Less warship, more Space Coast Guard cutter.

Costs?

Very nice, clean simple design. Modifying it for SAR would be trivial, but I don't see a price tag. Yes I have heard the old saw "if you have to ask you can't afford it." but one does need to know what amount to fill out on the credit slip.
