p 589, despite the paragraph describing the interchangeability of the terms "animal" and "Beast", the form at the bottom of the page is titled "Example Animal Encounter Form" which the text on the page and the next refer to the "Beast Encounter Form (BET)".

p 591. under Multiple Locomotion Types: This includes "Drifter" and "Static", which are not multiple locomotion types.

P 591. The Carnivore heading at the very bottom of the page should be moved to the top of the next one.

p 592: An example of a collector is an ent. I'm not sure "ent" is a good entry. I know I've made this suggestion previously, and even gave better examples.

Vehicle builder, p 255, under the speed table, "Vehicles may not exceed Speed-10 in atmosphere unless designed for greater than Speed-10." There are no rules for specifying the design of a vehicle capable of supersonic flight.

p233 - Descriptor abbreviations "C" and "Pr" are ambiguous for suits and units. "C" could mean "combat", "cold", or "weapon carrier". "Pr" could mean "protected" or "prospector". This will make it impossible to parse an abbreviation string.

For example: Is an StLCS-12 a standard light combat suit or a standard light cold suit?

Personal Combat

Length of a combat round

p176 lists a combat round as averaging about a minute, but p177 lists a combat round as averaging about 15 seconds.

(Also, although the text on both pages is clear that combat rounds are abstract and thus can vary in length, both pages also list a combat round = 'x' ... which will potentially confuse some people.)

Personal Combat

Original release of T5 used STAMP to determine how each aspect of combat was resolved. This seems to missing. So it is no longer clear if it's move-n-fire or fire-n-move or something else. p176 does make passing reference to an "attack phase" but does not explain what that is or what other phases there are in a round.

(Also, apparently now you can have multiple rounds per round for certain types of attack (for example 3 for snapshot) which is even more confusing.)

I think the Initiative section should be up front instead of at the end of Combat. Essentially, one side goes first and the other goes second, so you get three shots before or after the other side takes their turn.

So, to keep this about errata, I think a lot of confusion would be avoided with a little more discussion of initiative and moving it to the front of the combat section.

Sophontoid?!? Something resembling a sophont without actually being one?

That quote from p.94 is from the "Synthetics" section. "Sophontoid" is the broader term for "Android" (i.e. an Android is a humaniform sophontoid [as opposed to an Aslaniform one, for example]).

Page 176 says: "Once all Attacks are complete, everyone Moves at once." &
Page 191 says: "Characters and Vehicles can change Range Bands in the course of combat. They can change from one Band to an adjacent Range Band during the Movement Phase of a Combat Round, subject to limitations."

I've always been confused about how movement and attacking supposed to interact in T5, since the movement of the attacker and defender both affect the attack roll, and neither has yet moved in the round. The change to make Aiming carry over to the next round helps somewhat, but I still don't know what the intent was for this.

I've thought of adopting the T4 method and have everyone move first, but that still doesn't seem satisfactory.
