Terran Trade Authority is to be resurrected

Oh man, I love that Mollusk!

The new ships manage somehow to look more "modern" than the originals while still, to my eye at least, staying true to the spirit of the originals. What I've seen so far looks damn' fine.

Hatrax, isn't it about time Morrigan Press had something about it up on their website (or have I just missed it)?

Yup, it's about time... unfortunately, Scott wears many hats and just hasn't had time to update... I still say he should hire some college whiz kid to keep it up to date. If anyone's interested, there may be a job in it...

Yeah, I'll be waiting for the print version

The PDF preview's interesting though, you've actually got a future history that extrapolates from post-9/11.

That's Scott's section there. He had the harder job- I got to write the pre-history and history of the Proxima War and write ship descriptions- in other words, I just got to make stuff up, while Scott had to really think! ;)

I have a preorder with Amazon for the print version, let us hope that they don't screw it up like they did with Interstellar Wars. One month before it was released they unilaterally cancelled my order as they claimed the publisher said it was "Out of Print" with 10$ gift certificate as compensation...simply because they did not consult with the publishers.

I've been given authority by He Who Must Be Obeyed(!) to post one of the first images that will be appearing in the new TTA Capital Ships book - the LG 223 Starraker-class light gunship, as depicted in GSB. It's a first-cut image, so there's more detailing, texturing etc. to do, and it will get a proper background, rather than the somewhat basic version that it currently has.

I'm currently working on a couple of ships that got a passing mention in the original, such as the Quartermaster (military version of the Colonial III), the refuelling ship that formed the basis of the Astrolab, and a ship that I was always curious to see since I read that the CAM 117 Gunship was 'the last of the Dreadnoughts'. What did the first of the Dreadnoughts look like? Also, a new Alphan Capital ship is on the drawing board. This new book will be more in the spirit of the originals as it will feature art from a number of great artists and illustrators - I've already seen a couple of examples and they're totally TTA!

We have a release date. Unfotunately, it's a bit later than we'd hoped, mostly due to increased security and resulting delays at customs. Spacecraft 2100 to 2200 AD will arrive on July 17th.
Our sincere thanks to everyone who's preordered the book or picked up an electronic copy from DriveThruRPG.com!

July 17th? Darn it, that's after my shipping date. How much does it weigh? Maybe I can squeeze it into my suitcase ...
