MGT Only: The Crew and Adventures of the Imperial Patrol Cruiser Boxing Kangaroo

Well, I've got all my 'speaking part' characters all cast and ready for my soloplay on the Solomani Rim campaign about a Type T Patrol Cruiser, the Boxing Kangaroo.

The crew mans the newly built Patrol Cruiser INS Boxing Kangaroo (PC-1589234), a typical, if newly built, 400 displacement ton member of it's class at the Imperial Naval Yard, Light Craft Section at Perth, Australia at Terra/Sol (SR 1827). The deckplans from Mongoose Publishing's Supplement 2: Traders and Gunboats are used for a reference on the ship.

Crew profiled to date:

LT Ian Brickley, IN, http://travellersandbox.blogspot.com/2016/04/the-captain.html

SUBLT Eneri Mohammed Hassan, IN, http://travellersandbox.blogspot.com/2016/05/the-xo.html

MM1 Juliana Brand, IN, http://travellersandbox.blogspot.com/2016/07/the-engineer-and-ships-lpo.html

GMT2 Tsang Chishan and BM3 Rogier Zabiyah: http://travellersandbox.blogspot.com/2016/07/the-leading-gunner-and-pilot.html

Up relatively soon should be the Imperial Marine NCO's, and notes about the NPC's (extras) who fill out the crew list.

Are you going to explain why a Kangaroo would put things in boxes? Is it uplifted so it can tie a bow on the box? In the uplifting was it given longer arms as well as opposable digits so it can tie the bow in a relatively short time without excessive swearing?

PS: For a more visual analogy, try to imagine a T-Rex trying to hold onto a toothbrush and clean its teeth!?!

For a visual analogy, kangaroos look like boxers when they fight, to the point that human-kangaroo boxing matches have been conducted at least for decades, and probably for centuries now.

I have wondered how long it took kangaroo boxers/promoters to realise that a kangaroo doesn't 'box' as such, but is trying to get a grip so it can kick your stomach out your nose or slice you open from neck to groin.

Could have been rather messy for the first few 'matches'.

Quite possibly my shortest time between major campaign installments. Finally complete, my solitaire play of Death Station. Basically, this is what happens when you put a group of prepared military types into a horror scenario. Running a classic scenario was different from free-form adventures. I don't think many people would try to have two separate groups in a simultaneous dungeon crawl as well. http://travellersandbox.blogspot.com/2020/11/death-station-part-ii.html
