Ouch.
First Gary Gygax, and now N. Robin Crossby. Tough year for us old time gamers. Given that MAR Barker and Greg Stafford are both older than Gary and Robin...

For those who have missed it, Crossby invented the Harn supplements and the HarnMaster rules for fantasy games. Easily the most medieval of the FRPG genre, Kelestia (Harn's Earth) is also in the running for the most detailed game universe. If you have not seen the maps for this game, they are unbelievable: rich in background, detailed, and well-conceived with a human touch to them.
I encourage those of you who have maybe not seen or noticed the wide vistas of Boldhome or Khirgal or Tashal to do so. These treasures of the imagination are out there for you to see and enjoy and their creators are sadly leaving us at a rapid pace.
