The Future of 2320AD (redux)

It was your drawing that partly inspired that thinking. I have a print-out of it hanging on my office wall at home. Do you have a bigger version, by any chance?

I'd like to see that drawing. Please?

How big d'ya want it?
I have the original illustrator file on two failed hard drives tucked away somewhere but I could re-vector the JPG through Photoshop if you want a REALLY big one. No problem at all!
Let me know quick as I have my next commission starting within the next week or two for a Victorian horror RPG map set and I'll be busy.

view of my 2300AD stuff including my version of the Bayern is here: 2300AD & National Geographic:2299 project

Hi Colin, your inbox is full. Here's my pm:

"cool. I'll send you the outlined vector and a jpeg to the required size. Do you have Illustrator/photoshop/image ready? I'll attempt to send you the bigger size via e-mail."
My e-mail address is
Steffworthington(at)hotmail.com
send me yours and I'll send it over. I've already sized to your spec.

If you're still thinking of doing some stuff for the Rebco SAR missions, I'd be happy to offer help. I do professional level maps, and write a mean 'investigative' mission if I say so myself.

I'll keep that in mind. I want to get the main book, along with 2320AD Lite, going first, and then I'll look at restarting the adventures. I suspect that they will eventually move forward, though.

Maybe a nice juicy supplement may include all the parts that Loren edited out, as a kinda alternative worlds approach to 2320AD...

He didn't really edit that much out. The three short-stories, and a couple of other things, one which he felt didn't fit, and the other meta-plot references to the kafers, which he felt would be better addressed in a full supplement/adventure.

Hi All!

I'd like to see miniatures, both for table-top and spaceships.

I'd suggest

Black Orc

or

Magnificent Egos

I especially like the look of Black Orc's cost. A unit production cost of around $.65 (estimated) for a 28mm miniature looks very reasonable.

Considering the amount of artwork already available for 2300AD and now 2320AD, it would be a pretty easy next step to get miniatures sculpted. For the spacships, you could even use a rapid prototyper. Provided you have CAD files for them.

Just something to look into....

Mark

I'd by the lot at once! I love star cruiser but those little black cardstock pieces just don't hold water next to a miniature! Good idea! Who knows what will happen now that Hunter and Colin are at work again?? (rubs hands with boyish glee!)

Could the "Bayern's Return"?? have a more accurate name for the "Little Guys" or a name for its homeworld and starsystem? I see this race little less advance than the Sung, a few campaigns here are in my mind. =)

I think a return to the Bayern's route by another expedition would be an excellent idea.

The original adventure raised more questions than it answered IMHO, and had the potential to be a much more epic campaign, but it required an awful lot of referee input to flesh out the basic situations presented.

In terms of their current capabilities, the Little Guys are about equal to the Eber, at best, while most of the survivors are somewhere just above the stone age. "Little Guys" and "Littleendia" were the names from the official Bayern report. The subsequent military expeditions saw no reason to change that, but any sort of follow-up science/contact mission likely would.

Perhaps the Bayern herself could be outfitted for a return, with more mission leeway to study the oddities along the way, and a military escort "just in case".

Hmmm. Yet another thing to write.

Important is to get the 2320AD setting avaliable, the rest I believe will come automaticly when it sells.

There are so much options in the canon or even material coming from etranger or other sites like pentapod and similar fansites.
We "only" need the people dedicated to create some content here.
