As a reference to the Proto-Traveller project I've decided to begin the work on a list of Traveller products relevant to it, in order to ease our data-collecting research work. The main criterion (sp?) here is of the book being published before (but NOT including) 1983; The one big exception is High Guard, produced in 1980, which is nevertheless opposed to the spirit of Proto-Traveller with its implied huge-ship universe universe. Also excluded is S9 - Fighting Ships, which is from 1981 but is High Guard-centric.

So, there we go:

Much as I like them, I have to agree that Azhanti High Lightning and Trillion Credit Squadron don't fit the proto-Traveller spirit.

You forgot to include The Traveller Adventure.
I don't have it and I know no one who has it; the others I've identified either by owning them myself or by networking among other people (who have traveller stuff but rarely have the time to play, unfortunately :( ). What year is it?

So it's outside the "pre-1983" timeline, unless, ofcourse, you want to expand it to cover 1983 as well...

I agree with you on AHL, but I see the Islands Clusters fitting in quite well if you assume they don't have HG-sized ships.
