The Proto-Traveller Book List

Well, it was supposed to be 1982 to companion with The Traveller Book, but it was delayed (for reasons I know not). You don't have to change the cutoff, just allow an exception.

But if you include TTB, then you gotta include TTA, regardless of publish date. TTA is purely based on TTB, using nothing else. No Book 4. No Book 5. No Book 6. Nothing; just TTB and TTA.

I will admit my own prejudgements: I still consider TTB + TTA to be Quintessential Traveller. Of course, I do admit "Quintessential Traveller" is not necessarily a subset of "Proto-Traveller", so do what you will.

I agree with daryen that the Traveller Adventure can fit within the pT framework - I would also suggest that Tarsus and Beltstrike meet the criteria as well.

I would cut the Library Data Supplements though, as they are part of the problem that pT seeks to address IMHO,

S5, A5 & A6 need to go away; HG Centric
Beltstrike works fine, TTA needs to go to the questionable list.

A5 is strongly tied to elements galore of the HG universe. It has some thematic pT type stuff, but is really tied strongly to a BigShip OTU.
