I'm still here. Traffic is down on some forums (CT I'm looking at you - or rather, I'm not so much, lately) but it's so difficult to think of something to say about CT (or anything else Traveller) that hasn't already been said a hundred times over the past thirty years.
A few of the old regulars have returned since the change of management - at least for a look.

While it is true, that we reinvent the wheel many times over in this forum. We need to think outside the sandbox that CT encouraged us to do all those many years ago. So, while, I am still here at monitor station...we need to think of the creative ways to bring Traveller back.
One way that I can think of: is to think of how the CT OTU could have evolved if MT did not come in. Or another would be what other logical supplements were needed to make CT work (other than the books released by Cargonaut). Or perhaps how can CT be modified to run a spy game.
For me my interest is in history, hence, I favour explorations of the OTU but what of the other Traveller Universes that became part of the OTU on the sly. For instance, I see Reaver's Deep, becoming Renegade Legion with the Keiths wanting to explore the bad Empire. Or what are the significant deviations of GT from CT. I see that GT has a much more centralized Imperium than what CT envisioned, etc.
Food for thought and discussion.
But, you are right, this forum has lost many but just as Traveller has as a whole - as people migrate to more favorable forums which is no slight against the citizens here or my fellow mods. But, without the release of content - these forums are withering or imploding all the time whilst still attracting some new members...
The COTI is undergoing a reboot, it is just taking time. So bear with us, this ain't our day job but just a hobby. In the meantime, lets liven all forms of Traveller.
