[/QUOTE]Though as creativehum has pointed out, folks DO DO THAT. Not everyone, but some folks.
Where is the hostility? I don't have it, I don't see creativehum having hostility. I haven't seen hostility to the OTU from the Book 1-3 folks here or other places. Ok, so on Google+ I was looking at adventures, and calling out ones that were harder to disentangle from the OTU, but that wasn't hostility, just pointing out those that were more tightly coupled, and those SHOULD exist, I just might choose not to use them.
If the thread is tagged ATU, report them, mentioning that the thread is tagged for ATU. We might spawn it off to a non-ATU thread, might infract, might do both, but we (the staff) will discuss and take suitable action.
Sometimes, i miss the tags. So do others. But if the same person is doing it repeatedly and consistently, and it's reported for violating thread tags, we WILL take action to modify that poster's posting approach.
Seriously, I would prefer to see people use the report posts more often to indicate that they feel someone is "threadcrapping" than seeing them go off in thread at them.
The mod team is responsive to reports - we don't always agree with them, but we do see them all.
Likewise, if you forgot poll entries that are important, or mangled a poll option, report your top post and list the items to add/correct. (Makes it easier to find, and documents who made the changes and why.
Also, one person, upon realizing that he was uncertain whether he was across the line, reported his own post. We looked, and left it in place. Another person did similar, and we deleted an offending paragraph. Heck, one of the staff did so just last week. (If said staff member wants to out themself, they may, but I won't.)
