I was wondering how many of us actually has seen the inside of a Yacht? I am drawing a large Yacht at the moment, just what does a Yacht look like?
So here are two videos on the charter yacht Victorious filmed during the recent Monaco yacht show and just after. Enjoy and be amazed at the way the other half live.

Always good to look at these and get a sense of scale.

I watched a bit of the first one, and liked the use of mirrors in the corridor to relieve the cramped feel it would have otherwise.

Consider one of those staterooms. A queen bed is 60x80". I double the width, and 1/2 again the length as a swag guess. That's 120x120". Gave it a 7 ft ceiling (it didn't look too cramped, but I don't think those are 8ft ceilings). 1,209,600 in^3, which comes out to just under 20 m^3.

So, that's not even a 2 dton stateroom. And I can say that on the one cruise I took, my stateroom was not this big. I bet that the VIP suite at the end comes close to the standard 4 ton stateroom. (and, of course, the stateroom tonnage "includes common areas" like the corridor and such).

But, again, it's just good to get a sense of scale.
