Hasn't anyone tried the Solomani War?

Well, being the Darrian aficionado, some ideas I like are:
- Pre-Maghiz Darrians. Expanding alone in a fairly wide area with no other conflict/rivals.
- M0 Darrians. Here you have a recovering Darrian polity running up against the fractured Sword Worlds and dealing with their now soured relationship with the Zhodani.

And why not just post Maghiz?

Warning other planets about it advance, recue opperations, etc...

I'm thinking straight after the Third Frontier War, a bit of a debacle with the emperor forced to abdicate. Bringing down lots of naval and marine officers with him, the Spinward Marches populations angry and bitter with the imperial authorities, the military looking pretty poor. It's a post-Vietnam setup I suppose,veteran PCs struggling to get work, mistrusted and blamed for the poor result of the war. There are cashiered officers everywhere trying to pull old comrades together for business enterprises or mercenary companies, heists or other dubious projects.

I have a bunch of notes stored somewhere for a Campaign Book for playing through the Imperial Civil War as the officers and crew of the Imperial battlecruiser Bonadventure from the end of the First Frontier War under Admiral Plankwell to the final defeat of Emperor Gustus. It was one of two proposals I came up with that could have been published under a possible DGP license during the Imperium Games era... My other idea was my "lead into Milleu Zero" Campaign Book with Cleon Zhunastu as Cecil Rhodes, but Imperium Games went a different direction with the setting.
