Unpopular movies onboard your starship.

Blue Ghost

SOC-14 5K
Knight
Okay, it's movie night on your second or third day of jump. Your crew is somewhat tense and high strung because in your ship's entertainment center you have a hi-def copy of....

"Plan Nine from outer Space"

What bad movies are in your starship's entertainment center?

Just to confirm movies that are bad? Or movies that are bad to have in your ships Library?

D.

Manos Hand of Fate: The holographically remastered edition - at least that is what it says on the cover. It's impossible to tell the 2D and 3D versions apart.

Celine Dion Live - suspected to have caused a small war when played into Vargr space.

"Zardoz" had the doggies tilting their heads and scratching their ears.

"Godzilla versus Megalon" sent my crew into near mutiny.

My Choices

Mutiny on the Bounty (A 1099 Classic remake in Trid)
Titanic (A 1055 Classic remake of a ship colliding with space debris and the struggle for survival before the ship enters the K IV gravity well)
Rocky CCLVXXIX (A truly ugly piece of work)
JAWS CCLXIV (The Worst remake of a horror picture since Halloween CLXXVI)
The Return of the Poseidon Adventure (Loss of Gravity is not always the worst thing that can happen on a ship!)

We've had some bad luck on my starship, brushed some ionization field which zapped out almost the entire entertainment storage drive. Only thing that survived seems to be some file labelled "Kimye Wedding video" looks like it might be soft ⌧ or something.

One particularly ugly episode aboard the good ship "Reaver's Luck" during a run between Efate and Pixie hauling electrostatic razor blades, the entertainment system file hunter got stuck on the 1958 trailer for "The Blob" Note, it was just the trailer...playing 24/7 for a week in jump until I could get a tech to fish out the Oreo cookie that got crammed into the data port.

Another anxious moment was when the engineer for the fat-trader "Dandelion" promised the all male crew that he had purchased "Solomani Space Vixens" in hi-def tri-vid, only to discover his PDA had been hacked, when he plugged it into the entertainment port, and we saw the trailer, again not the film, but the trailer for....

Was headed for a low tech world to retreive clinic personell from a small military hospital. Seems there was a small revolt going on there.

SOOO.....our chief Mech just had to play a old 2d version of Zulu....it did not seem to sit well with the crew.

"The Adventures of GySgt Bucky Hardcore". also in game format. the gysgt also makes an appearance in various marine training media.

"If You Meet A Vargr ...."

though actually they are quite popular.

This is actually a hilarious idea... I got stuck on a plane to Ireland from Atlanta and the only movie showing was "Catwoman." It was brutal.

I would definitely have it on a starship and pull it out on those days when the Captain is just pissed at the crew.

Some idiot only packed an Andy Warhol film.

The remastered edition of 1963s "Sleep" with CGI multi-camera positions is not perhaps the first choice of many.

Terrible entertainment rooms will have just that one DVD copy of PNFOS to pick from. Most entertainment rooms will have features that allow hyper-click users to lounge about and just surf through 5 seconds of billions of shows to choose from, never actually sitting through a whole movie.
