vehicle fuel cost?

Vehicles eventually run out of fuel and need to be refueled, correct? If so, then how much does that fuel cost? I can't seem to find the costs anywhere. (I did find the cost for starship fuel though)

Another quick question:
Does 1000vl = 1 metric ton?

I always assumed refueling vehicles was a negligible cost, since they seemed to hold very little fuel in the first place. I also assumed they could be refuled from a starship's fuel tank.

My assumptions have some potential problems with them, namely: if they don't require much fuel, why not simply carry a ton of fuel so they can operate for really, really, really long periods of time?

If only that were true in the real world.

Fule cost would depend on TL/powerplant type of the vehical. If it was a fusion plant, hydrogen is the way to go.

If it was a lower tech level with an internal compustion engine you would have to house rule it. Look at the planet's trade clasification and make something up. Remember Fules are typically highly taxed.

At very low tech level check the specualative trade table for the cost of grains. ;)
