What color is the floor in your stateroom?

Nothing beats a hardwood floor with a Persian-style carpet.
Especially if it's that exotic hardwood from St. Johns Wort VI, known for it's high G, the wood is as dense as synthetic quartz but, being fundamentally fibrous, torsionally very strong so as not to be brittle.

Of course, it's a real pain to cut, but finishes nicely. Doesn't stain very well, though, but will take a couple of coats of poly. Not that you need it to actually protect the wood.

Right until the grav gets turned off... then you want carpet for the velcro booties to stick to...
Or the life support puts a bunch of water everywhere...
What about a metallic floor so mag boots could work when the gravity plates go down?

For that matter, wouldn't there be metal under the carpet anyway?
Yes, but there's no guarantee it's subject to magnetic attraction... you really don't want to hit a patch of diamagnetic metal and thre resulting being forced off the wall during free fall..

Aren't your staterooms floor customizable by being screen like?

IMTU most comemrcial ships have them, so that the passenger may decide by himself. Most popular ones are sand, grass or sea, but everyone has his/her own tastes...
Agreed in most commercial star ships. The floor and some parts of the walls should be programmable by the passengers for colour and texture.
