What games do you play

I don't get to play much, but I occassionally get blackmailed into running Flashing Blades (the FGU swashbuckler & musketeer game) or Swordsman, Starman (the later is my own system, currently incarnated as an 1880s "Scientific Romance".)

By and large my group plays D&D. In the past we played a lot of GAMMA WORLD, and a good amount of STAR TREK: THE ROLE PLAYING GAME (FASA version). We played lesser amounts of STAR FRONTIERS, STAR WARS,and MERP.

In the past five years or so we began playing TRAVELLER. While we enjoyed it, we never had much luck in keeping the excitement level up beyond a couple of adventures.

Currently, I'm developing a T4 campaign and am also working on an EVERQUEST campaign (I like the EVERQUEST version of d20 much more than D&D3e).

We move around a lot, but I have run in the last few years.

Traveller (Obviously)
Call of Cthulhu
Legend of the Five Rings
Shadowrun
Cyberpunk
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Judge Dredd
Delta Green

My old group mostly played RuneQuest -- way more than Traveller, actually. Since the last RQ campaign ended, though, I've gradually lost interest in the game/world (didn't like Hero Wars one bit), and if I were to start up a new game nowadays, I can't really imagine playing anything other than Traveller -- maybe Call of Cthulhu (I still like the BRP system).

Other games we used to play back in the day: AD&D1 (played this exclusively for years, but gave it up around the time AD&D2 came out and never looked back), Stormbringer (our introduction to BRP), WFRP (loved those adventures), Cyberpunk (we played this A LOT in the late 80s/early 90s), Amber Diceless (my most spectacular GMing failure), Dangerous f**king Journeys (I hated this system but my players all loved it -- the Necropolis adventure was really good, though -- a couple of us actually played in it at a con ca. '88 with Gygax as the DM). There were also many many other games we only played once or twice -- some we liked (Paranoia, Mekton, Boot Hill), many we didn't. I could never convince anyone else to even try Space:1889 or EPT.

Over my span of gaming I've probably played some form of D&D most often, followed by some form of Traveller.

For a while in the 80's I played a lot of the games by FGU--Chivalry and Sorcery, Daredevils and Aftermath--plus Pendragon.

I went through a homebrew phase--at least 3: Steel, Blood and Glory (fantasy), Space Bastards (sci-fi), and The Jaws of the Dog (late roman emprie historical) were the titles.

But now I'm prety much settled down into D&D 3e and Traveller d20 rotation.

Currently, I run D&D3e in the Kingdoms of Kalamar setting, and I play in a game of Buffy the Vampire Slayer RPG. In the past, I've played 2.5 other editions of D&D, Top Secret, Champions, Villains and Vigilantes, CT, MT, Rolemaster, MERP, Werewolf (table-top and LARP), Mage, and a thousand board-games and card games.

The only 'regular' games I play are at conventions or Living campaign homeplay;
Living Force (SWd20)
Living Greyhawk (D&D3E)
CoC

I emigrated from the UK to Sweden 8 years ago and only in the last few months have managed to get some friends interested in trying rpgs, so I'm running some very infrequent Star Wars d20.
I've run a few games of Traveller (homebrew CT/T4) for friends when I'm back in the UK.

Currently, Shadowrun and the occasional D&D 3E.
(Though my favorite was AD&D 2E with the Player Options Rules.)
Lately, it has been a mostly board/miniature wargaming, because no one can really commit to running an on-going adventure and one off role playing just doesn't do it for me.
Though, I will be taking up the title 'Screen Monkey' when T20 comes out.

The Games I play/ref

oh yeh.. Gurps

Mostly focused on fanatsy games, with D&D (all editions) being a substantial chunk. Also have run/played in Rolemaster (both 2nd Ed and RMSS), GURPS, and Fantasy Hero. I have been tempted by Exalted, but can't find anyone else in my group who is interested.

Most of my homebrew efforts are focused on fanatsy settings (created five so far, with two still in active development/growth) - my gearheadedness is on world and culture building.

Out of that genre, I Love to play Champions and Shadowrun (enjoy both game systems for the 'feel' they add to the game).

Traveller is an obvious draw - never played CT (couldn't find a group nor the LBB's), ran a couple games in 2300 and 2300AD, but then missed out on MT (not sure why - I blame it on the alcohol and loose women of my college years :D ). Bought all the T4 books, but couldn't find anyone who was interested. Ran a GT campaign 2 years ago, and then the gaming group fell apart. Currently running a T20 game which is going well and will be greatly strengthened in a few weeks ;)

I play in two campaigns, one in Changeling the other in Amber Diceless. I was Reffing a T20 playtest game for a couple of months which went well and I'm hoping when the Amber campaign winds down the T20 book will be out and I can convince the lot of them to start the Traveller back up again.

OK,

Call of Cthulhu (1920s, but I'd like to run Delta Green)
Full Thrust
Hard Vacuum (Does anyone else notice that most space combat game have VERY suggestive titles?)
Heavy Gear
Gear Krieg
Frag
D6 System (the background varies)
Several Home Grown systems for historical and historical fantasy wargaming.

These days I actully don't get to play much. When I do it's one of these:

CT/MT
T20 Playtest
EarthDawn 2nd Edition (www.lrgames.com)
DnD3
RQ2 (Tried HeroWars and sold it)

I'd like to get together a group to run the Centauri Knights campaign for "Big Eyes, Small Mouth".

Well,lets see here...

* Silent Death (minis game) with my 12 and 9yr olds.
* D&D-3E (Just rotated off of DM duty, now playing)
* Traveller (go figure! I never get to *play* this one... I'm always the ref.)
* LUG rules Trek
* Jade Claw
* MERP
* Cyberpunk
* LARP (Xanodria, Just tried it... got hooked immediately, going back some day)
* chess (OK, I'm awful at chess, but I still like the game)
* Just about any board game that my kids have lying around the house... usually with the 4yr old's edition of the rules.

Due to obvious extraneous activities, my gaming is usually limited to every other weekend. Oh well, they told me that the real world was expensive!

Right now with the Real World (work, kids, family etc) getting in the way we just alternate 2 games every other week, Traveller and the 3rd ed. D&D. In the past we've done a lot of...

Champions (Hero Games...it's what Steve Jackson ripped off to make GURPS)
Star Fleet Battles (old series Star Trek miniature combat)
Prime Directive (RPG in the Star Fleet Battles universe)
Star Wars
Deadlands
Cyberpunk
Morpheus
Attack of the Humans

Currently just playing T20 Lite, but I have played CT, Original D&D, AD&D both 1&2E, and a very short stint with Star Trek (I like the shows, hated the game)

I wish someone had warned me when I was a younger man that Real Life can and will interfere with your gaming activities. Otherwise I would have never grown up! ;)

Because of the aforementioned Real Life I have not played anything in almost 2 years. As far as games I've played...

Traveller (All editions including 2300)
Dungeons and Dragons (All editions except 3e)
WEG Star Wars (RIP)
Original CoC (Victorian England)
Dark Conspiracy
Twilight 2000
Star Frontiers (1st Ed)
Gamma World(1st and 2nd Ed)
Boot Hill(1st Ed)
Top secret(1st Ed)
CP 2020
Other Suns (Anyone remember this one?)
Deadlands

Plus I have a collection of obscure unplayed SF rpgs that I use as reference and inspiration for my Traveller Universe. I hope to get back into gaming regularly again and soon.

Doing a T20 campaign at the mo with add ons from the SWd20 book.
Jus finished a Transhuman Space ad hoc campaign, played a Felicia series Bioroid called Dhiva.

Favourite campaigns of the past..
Aftermath.. played for years, all the characters were based on us but 10 years after the bomb, the gm had the feel spot on, visiting places that we all grew up around but now distorted by time and nuclear winter. Joined CND about that time!

RuneQuest3rd ed... Played in an around pavis an the Big Rubble, did Griffin Island. Great campaign played a lunar exile thief/ asassin called Seren hooked up with an exiled Carnifex called Sevrain who I later found out was nicked from Gene Wolfes New Sun series of books.

Gurps Traveller...played a Zhodani turncoat spy, called herself Carly Zeldon (not her true name) lots of pirates, ancients and teleporting naked.

Cyberpunk...set in Night City did the Forlorn hope campaign played a kick ass Solo called Flare.
Helped johnny silverhand raid Arasaka tower.

Pendragon...GMed this set it in the kingdom of Kernow the Arthurian elements were more background, players were all warriors of a Cornish clan. Lots of saxons, irish, enemy clans, clan politics and manipulative Priests/ Druids, an the odd Sidhe.

Currently, D&D 3E. Have played a lot of Cyberpunk and Traveller, both of which I enjoy, but I always get stuck being the ref, except at conventions.

In my current gaming group, only one other person has played Traveller. I'm hoping that when T20 is released, we can start alternating between D&D and T20. The other two players have played Cyberpunk and liked it, and are familiar with the d20 basic mechanics, so I'm hopefully about talking them into trying T20.
