For “trailing”, I prefer “awkward” (which matches the etymological, albeit obsolete, meaning of the adjective “awk”, from Old Norse ǫfugr).
In UWPs, I prefer “diameter” to “size” (even though 0 and R are not diameters), and “hygrographics” to “hydrographics” (“hygro-” comes from the Ancient Greek adjective ὑγρός, “fluid”), since a world’s oceans are not necessarily water.

Vargr(ant) - a Vargr who lacks direction.
"G/Raft" would better fit the established naming-convention paradigm everywhere else. It doesn't need Atmosphere to function.

Gravcoupe replaces racer and speeder. Essentially, a grav sports car. A gravraft or gravbarge is simply a flat platform for carrying cargo on. Gravflyer / bike would be a sort of motorcycle grav vehicle. Gravtruck or gravlorry is a larger cargo vehicle but not big enough to be a ship's boat of some sort.
Gravcar and van are passenger vehicles of varying size. Almost all of these are enclosed vehicles so the operator and passengers don't have to wear vac suits or other protective gear while operating them. They also have operating speeds comparable with light aircraft, some like some sports models-- the gravcoupe-- being capable of supersonic flight. Most though go 150 to like 300 - 400 kph as typical flight speeds and normally operate in a driver augmented autopilot mode.
I actually allow "G/Carrier" to be more generic, and let it fill the role of "G/Truck" or "G/Lorry". For military specificity I'll use "G/Carrier-APC" or "GravAPC" or "Armoured G/Carrier", or something similar (Striker used some of those specified terms for vehicles).
I also usually like to specify what is simply "Contragrav" or "Lifter" powered (i.e. it can rise and hover, and possibly have some small lateral thrust that gets better with increasing TL), versus that which has a secondary thrust agency (Electrothermal-Jet, G-Drive, etc.). I prefer Early-Lifters to come in about TL-9 and Early G-Drive about TL-10, (and Early M-Drive at about TL-11).

Those would be fine as abbreviations of "grav." I would also say that slang terms would arise for the base vehicle types in some cases. Air raft doesn't fit into that scheme at all. That version as in the game, would be seen as a convertible topped gravcar. "Flyer" might be a slang term for one, but again, "air raft" just doesn't fit at all. A small gravcar might be a "mini" or something in slang terms, so there'd be variants depending on what's being used, its size, and look. "Grav" might also be dropped in localities where grav vehicles are the norm, so there's no need for including the term as it's understood that's what you're talking about. The opposite might even hold true where locals describe vehicles that can't fly as "ground" vehicles, like a ground-car.
