• Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
  • We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.

What're some minor terminology changes that you use?

Functionally speaking, all (artificially produced) clones are bioroids.

The distinguishing feature is that a Bioroid is normally designed, not simply a copy like an identical twin (even if force-grown). Bioroids will often have significant parts of the DNA strand modified or left out of the code if not necessary to its designed purpose and may employ a limited amount of non-biologic organics/polymers or inorganics for certain functions (such as skeletal components).

A Bioroid sounds like something that is mechanically or remotely controlled.

Where I come from (IMTU) we have Genetically Engineered Life Forms, or GELFs. They are usually autonomous, and self aware, but not built bright enough to take over the galaxy. At least not deliberately. One off clones, and a lot are genetic chimera. Some labs can look like Doctor Moreau's

You got something against a little “long pork”?
