What's your T20 universe going to be like?

I'm looking at an active duty campaign, loosely based on Space: Above and Beyond. Characters will be both pilots and ground troopers. Those who can not pilot will ride in 2-seater fighters or in a 30-50 ton lander. The group will be troubleshooters on the frontier for the military. More or less.

Set in Linkworlds - a mix of mystery, problem solving and deceit.

I'm a big fan of deceit.

Did I mention how much I like deceit.

I don't think I should describe things in more details because that would reduce the level of mistrust and miscommunication that will be engendered.

Starts stroking the white cat, throws back his head and patented Evil laugh echoes through the compartment. Fade to black to the sound of deranged laughter.

My TU will be semi-canon. The only real change will in cybernetics and robotics.

The nobility and military will use extensive ability enhancing cybernetics and nanotech. It won't be Cyberpunk, ordinary people usually won't have any cybernetics at all. The cybertech used will typically be sense enhancing, abilty boosters, and data manipulation equipment. Nobles would typically have cloned replacement parts. While commoners would have cyberlimbs (Most cyberlimbs used would be simple replacement prosthetics, with no superhuman abilities).

Robots will be quite common, mostly doing manual labor and menial tasks. Most servants would be robots. Having real human servants would be a mark of high social status, and wealth. Armed robots would be restricted to the military, and never independent of human control.

Basically, cybernetics and robotics will be used, but under strict controls. The Imperium won't permit sentient robots to be manufactured, and military grade cybernetics are as restricted as other military weapons and equipment.

My T20 universe will be pretty much OTU but i haven't decided on a setting yet. i've got tons of stuff from CT thru' to TNE. I've got to get my players interested in playing first!!!! D&D, modern day...no problems, sci fi??????!!!
so i think an introductory scenario with pre-genned characters, a special forces team, operating behind Solomani lines might work.
