When did you decide to fork the bucks over for T20

At first I saw the ad banner on T20 and decided to check it out <when I learned the horrible fact that the Millinium Falcons insided were to big for the outsides and this flaw was carried over to the new SWgame> then I went to the website and then clicked on meet the vargr and decided I must have this book Besides I'm a big fan of sci-fi <not cyberpunk but sci-fi though if they have elements of both all the better> so I ordered the books fairly recently my self :D

Needed a copy of traveller that would take minimal effort for my hack and slash DnD group to learn. I've got GURPS Trav now for the PBEM groups that like to think a little. I'll see what T20's like and decide to wean myself one way or another after I take a look at it.

I decided as soon as I heard it was in the works. I've always preferred the DnD game mechanics over the D6 rules of CT, but liked the CT setting.

Then there is the idea that I want Traveller to be arround for years to come, so I really need to do my part to support the current incarnation.

I started playing Traveller back with the LBBs as a kid, and never left. Later on, I got a lot of mileage out of the TNE rules and some from T4. (Never managed to get a hold of MT for some reason.) I was rather disappointed when GDW went bust, and have been running a heavilly hybridized home grown traveller varient ever since.

I've never cared much for GURPS rules (although they do produce excellent source books IMHO), so a new and "live" version of Traveller was bound to be a good thing as far as I'm concerned. I don't mind the D20 rules, as most of my non-Travelling gaming friends are fond it anyway.

So... I was pretty much bound to purchase this book anyway. When I found out that the price was going up, I went ahead and pre-ordered it. (Which I was pretty much also going to do as well.)
