Yeeehaww!!! I got it!! I got a copy of T20!

Well...

Picked up T20 at Alternate Worlds yesterday. Don't have a Core rules book yet; BAM has the D20 Modern Core book coming in on Nov 9. Since I'll be off hunting Tree Krakens that day, I won't be able to fully utilize everything till probably Nov 12.

Some thoughts about what I've read so far...

Looks like T20 lets you have one man Scout Ships [good]
But not J2 Scout Ships at TL9 like CT does [bad]

CT book 2 seems to be the only ship design system that allows for TL9 J2 ships.

Scout Ships get big Cargo Bays [very good]
No info on how to convert PC's from other Trav systems to T20 [bad bad bad]

Some of the new minor races I could do without, but they got the Virushi on there, so thats
cool. I didn't see a listing for the Newts though; maybe I just missed it, but there ought to be some Newts in there. Maybe the powers that be are saving them for an aliens supplement?

Great Art Work! Some of it reminds me of some of the 2300 stuff.
Overall first impression: not bad. Not bad at all.
Quite a few bits that are very comparable/compatible with other Traveller stuff.

I finally picked up my copy of T20 at my friendly neighborhood UPS office....seems that my correct address was not on the shipping label"...

Anyways, I am impressed! Not only is the book chock full o'Traveller goodness, it's a hardback! This was a pleasant surprise. All of my collected Traveller books from CT:Book-1 to TNE are softcover books. There is a solid sense of permanency in a hardcover book. A certain feel that says, "Traveller is here to stay."

A big "Well done!"to Hunter, MJD, and all who put forth this fine work.

Now, if you will excuse me, I have a book to read!
