CT Only: 1983 Snapshot

I have the LGB version (Little Green Book, comes in the small box) of Snapshot. It's the same size book as the LBB's.

Are there any differences between that and the later 1983 version of the rules (what was the larger format in the same size as the Alien Modules)?

Any differences?

My dead tree is the other, but is 1530 mi from me. So I can't check for you.

So,it looks like the later edition just changed format and added the errata but is the same rule set.

Just for the record, there's a copy of the 1983 version for sale on amazon, but it is out of my price range just to see if it's different/updated.

Looking at my RPG database, it looks like I have two copies of Snapshot. But unlike Mayday, where I noted that I have 1978, 1980, and 1983 versions, I didn't note the years of the two Snapshot copies I own. Maybe I have two of the same ones.

I have a busy weekend coming up, but if I get a chance I'll try to dig them out and see if I have both printings for comparison.

Thanks Joe. It will be interesting to see if there are any differences between the two; i.e. weapon damage dice, APs, etc.

I found the two boxes and...they're both the '79 edition. Drat! I was looking forward to seeing what the differences were, if any.

I have the 83 edition.

A quick comparison to the one on the CT cd it appears to be re-typeset to fit the new form factor but otherwise is identical.

The combat charts are the same.
