5 ton lifeboat

The lifeboat is a very survival craft that is used on smaller starships instead of escape pods. It is normally not fitted on a ship with sufficient space on other small craft to leave the main ship in an emergency. The seated passenger is normally the ship's doctor or someone with medical training, to revive those in the low berths. A ship needs one for every 10 crew, higher or middle passengers. Unfortunate passengers in low berths are left to their fates, since it would take too long to revive them and then refreeze them.

Using a 5-ton hull, custom M-drive and fusion plant, the lifeboat s capable of 1G acceleration, carries 0.1 tons of fuel (good for 8 weeks), and has a crew of one. It has a Model/1 computer and standard electronics in the cockpit. The lifeboat carries one passengers on an acceleration couch, up to eight in emergency low berths and 0.5 tons of cargo. It is streamlined and costs MCr 2.71

5 ton utility boat

The utility boat is light people and cargo mover used for light duties.

Using a 5-ton hull, custom M-drive and fusion plant, the lifeboat s capable of 2G acceleration, carries 0.1 tons of fuel (good for 4 weeks), and has a crew of one. It has a Model/1 computer and standard electronics in the cockpit. The utility boat carries three passengers on acceleration couches and one ton of cargo. It is streamlined and costs MCr 3.87

5 ton missile fighter

This is a last-ditch combatant used by smaller outposts and come Class C starports.

Using a 5-ton hull, custom M-drive and fusion plant, the lifeboat s capable of 4G acceleration, carries 0.1 tons of fuel (good for 2 weeks), and has a crew of one. It has a Model/2 computer and standard electronics in the cockpit. It has one missile rack fixed forward and six missiles. The fighter has 0.15 ton of cargo. It is streamlined and costs MCr 6.59
 
The K'kree system is just LBB5 restated. In LBB5 drives and fuel are minimum 1 dT each.

Why not just use sA drives, or even half sA drives?

Haven't owned HG since 1985. MgT does allow drives and fuel under 1 ton, so I'm not breaking too many rules ;)

I think the math is easier that multiplying sA numbers by 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 5/4 and 3/2.

I forgot to add that I'm doubling the AM2 PP volume, to better match MgT numbers.

I'm only going to use the custom drives for craft under 10 tons or over 2000 tons (I find the MgT HG numbers for capital ships suspect).
