So we're seeing the Frontier Cruiser version of the AHL, eh?
The original AHL (Fleet Intruder version) is armed with a particle accelerator spinal mount.
The refitted Frontier Cruiser version has a meson gun spinal.
Externally they'd be almost identical: the bay weapons on the Frontier Cruiser are particle beams, while the Fleet Intruder has missile bays.

If Andrew is showing us the refitted Frontier Cruiser version of the AHL, your Hawkmore-class cruiser might be in trouble. I was playing around with a 50,000 ton, TL13 design, and a ship of that size and TL might just have trouble dealing with a refitted AHL.
The Solomani cruiser likely has better Agility (2 vs. 0), and a slightly better computer (since the AHL used only a Mod/6fib), but the Impie has a better weapon and much better meson screen.
If the AHL is the original Fleet Intruder (with a spinal particle accelerator) it all depends on how much armor the Sollie has. She needs at least Armor-6 to avoid any Crew-1 hits from radiation, because that factor-N particle accelerator =will= hit.

Hmmm. I haven't posted the Hawkmore's full offensive and defensive capabilities anywhwere except to say she has a meson gun, and that she's an *armoured* cruiser.
Let's just say she has the best weapons and screens (and possibly something more) available at TL-13

That's what I assumed. One thing I had to guess at was just how many fighters are in a "Wing." You said she had two wings of the 20-ton Hornet fighter, and I put 40 fighters in each wing.

Somehow, I've always pictured meson weapons as producing "pulses" or "packets" of mesons that streak through space and then suddenly produce explosions in space inside and around the target, mostly in a line connecting the two ships, but also "rastered" around a bit to cover the volume of space that the target is expected to occupy.
