Was working on a campaign to build a new sector (http://www.travellerrpg.com/CotI/Discuss/showthread.php?t=23300), complete with a dot map (http://www.travellerrpg.com/CotI/Discuss/showthread.php?t=23376), then I went to prison.

5 Years later.... Someotherguy has done up that sector and it's even on travellermap.com.... Oh well ....

While I was in, I was doing a little writeup for a group of PCs on a 400 ton trader that only looked decrepit but was in fact a well oiled machine (including A sentient Computer and two Sentient robots, working as imperial spies in Reaver's Deep, even wrote a couple of real short stories...

4 Years later.... Someotherguy has really done it up very well (http://www.reaversdeep.com/)... Oh well ....

Back to the drawing board .... :coffeegulp:.

All though I am not going to have even as little time has I did because life is a :CoW:.

Forster wrote the Honrblower series. Did that stop Reeman or O'Brien?

Hammett wrote about the Continental Op. That didn't stop Chandler, Spillane, or Parker.

Greyhawke didn't preclude Blackmoor.

So someone did that sector. Whoop-de-doo. That doesn't necessarily mean it's any good. That doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. It does mean your sector will be different, however, and some people may prefer that difference. That's all that matters.

Keep working on your own stuff. Don't worry about what others are doing.

Maybe a good idea not posting publically until it's all done and copyrighted then advertise your product. No one can copy something they don't fully know about.

Naw, what he did actually looks pretty good. I lost all of my data and would have to start from scratch (I did all that generation by hand).

Noone stole any idea I had.

I may try to drag some of the Reaver's Deep stuff out of memory and stick an outline online. It was never my intention to publish it anywhere but here anyway.
