Broadsword Class Mercenary Cruiser render

The aries 1B main sphere is about 68.5 Td, so it's probably about 75 to 80Td, given the engine and landing gear clusters.

How many tons do you suppose this ship is?

No, none of the image code, link, or anything showed... nothing to indicate there even was a link/image... until I hit the quote button, then the coding showed up!

I've removed two of the brackets to allow the URL to show.

Started work on the pinnace.

In Broadsword LBB (page 23) there is a cutter module/frame that holds 4 six ton fighters. I would like to see that illustrated, it seems like a way to really maximize the Broadsword Class.

Giving some definition to the spine and bay module. Re-did the wires for the nose for better cockpit window flow for the next update.

Pushing and pulling on polygons and using artistic licensing for the jump drive. Still not sure yet on the windshield.

I quite like the drive :D

I wonder what the engines will look like when Hollywod makes a Traveller movie? Movies tend to settle any modeling disputes for the fans. Until then, we're all having fun making our own designs to post here.

They'll be huge, spit fire, and make a proper throaty rumble that you can feel in your bones...

...all in the vacuum of space :D Oh yeah, and they'll never need fuel.

Or they'll be so tiny as to be unnoticed (or they won't exist at all) and no one will explain how they work. The ship just goes where it needs to at the speed of plot.

Thanks.

Since this thing is considered streamlined, I thought maybe the nose/windshield should be left smooth. But if there is some sort of field generator thing surrounding it, I could recess the window, etc.

Ok. I'll stick with them. I have this crazy idea of Ripley punching the thrusters button and the Alien being blasted out of one of the engines. Love the exhaust in that film. Looked almost underwater-like.
