Nice work mate, very nice.

What's your favourite ship, the one you'd like to work on the most? Is it the Broadsword class?

I guess my favorite ship is whichever one I modeled last. So, I guess the Free Trader for now. Before that, it was all the new Dreadnoughts I was modeling, that I can't show until later.

Had you ever given any thought to trying to have a go at doing a venerable Chrysanthemum class destroyer escort? Old, I know, but the image is one that has been around since the days of the Imperium board game, and it's a ship that I reckon could do with a bit more attention.

I'll have to look that one up to see what it is.

ADDED:
People have done that ship in the past. Which book is it from?

I only managed to find a couple of images, this one and this other.

Without taking away from the excellent efforts of these other guys (far beyond my skills), your art is another order of magnitude on from these. I'm still very curious...

Nice - is that the start of a particular theme/series, something you did a while ago, or just an exercise playing with something new?

Just a mish-mash of models not related to each other. Some might recognize the government building as a restored version of the destroyed one in Fallout 3. I've been restoring the DC area back to its pre-nuked era. And I have been giving human models another try in my scenes. I want more than just spaceships in my shots.

Really nice use of iconic old architecture. The clouds look great.

Had you thought about a similar scene using steep pyramidal arcologies rising out of the clouds? Or a Broadsword descending towards the landing platform of a submarine arcology, with the waves a hundred meters below?

Beautiful rendition of structures I dislike intensely. "Tuning Fork Skyscrapers" seem a particularly bad idea.
