Contest - Name this Ship

unnamed-ship.jpg

It seems like I am naming alot of stuff these days. Sometimes I can look at something and I know its name; other times its alot harder. This ship is one of the latter. So lets make this a contest. This is a sub-100 ton fighter produced by the Krown Corporation (from Mech Tech 'n' bot: Spaceport Tech 1). Reply to this thread with your idea for the ship's model name. Whoever's name I choose will get a free pdf copy of the 16 page book Mech Tech 'n' bot: Fighters and Small Ships, due out late November. Enter before Nov 7th.

Good luck and happy gaming.

Looking up thesaurus entries for "wedge" and "blade" turned out to be a less than wholly fruitful exercise, so I recommend the following terms as candidates:-

Wedge class
Blade class
Point class
Edge class
Whetstone class
Terminus class
Sharp class
Slicer class
Plectrum class
Planchette class
Pilum class
Longinus class
Lacerator class
Gouger class
Scalpel class

See what you make of those.

Alpha class - as it looks like an A.

Catamaran class (shortened to "Cat") - as it seems to have that sort of hull configuration.

if going with wedge, how about the Antilles class? As that is also a group of islands in the West Indies there could be a bunch of names based off that.

I like Blade Class, so maybe other sword style names might do:

Cutlass Class
katana Class
Halberd Class
Gladius Class

I dub thee STAR WARS LOVER! ;)

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I am one too.

"Laser Pony" class demi-fighter

Or, if it's IISS, "Laser Ponii"

Do I win ?

It's pointless trying to compete with this obvious winner :nonono: ;)

...but as I'm here how about something along the lines of:

Diamond class Fighter, just one of the Krown Jewels line of combat craft.

I've got it!

I was going to call it the dmccoy class, but I was afraid of being called a self-aggrandizing ego-maniac.

So I decided on the "stealth".

How about the Krown Industries Twelve Hundred, or KITH. Either that or you could just call it the "Knight" and combine the chess piece and "Knight Rider" themes.
