Deck plans

Kpeterson

SOC-10
(I'm not really sure where to post this question, so hopefully the MT forum won't be a problem).

I'd like to pick up some Traveller deck plans in the very near future, and I'm trying to decide from a few different options.

First, there's the very available Gurps Traveler deck plans which appear worthwhile, and include the added benefit of Traveller "Cardboard Heroes". Next, there's Seeker Gaming Systems deck plans that were produced back when Megatraveller was around, and are apparently still available through the company.

Are there more options?

Any recommendations or suggestions?

Depends. Note that MT and TNE have very different ship assumptions than CT & T20. GT likewise has some different assumptions from all of them. The ship design system makes a big difference in what needs to be on the plans.

MT designs tend to have slightly more cargo than CT for low jump designs.

TNE designs vary widely by fuel needs for maneuver.

Overall, if you don't mind plans not being matched to the ship designs, any of them are good. I've even used Space Opera ship designs in the past.

Also, Sovereign Games has a few of the old boxed Adventure Class Ships Vol 2 available. You get a freebie if you order by next week!
Thanks for the heads up. I snagged vol 1 on ebay, and was keeping an eye out for a volume 2.

In the day, one of my fellow GMs had the FASA deckplans, and laminated them. They were GREAT for games.
