French Traveller

The project is now abandonned.

Mongoose is planning a French translation of their Traveller, but I'm not involved.

That's too bad. I don't see why a translation of Classic Traveller would have interfered that much with Mongoose if that's the reason. Hopefully Mongoose has enlisted someone with not only a good working knowledge of both languages but Traveller as well. Translation is difficult enough to get right without requiring the nuances of specific jargon necessary for something like Traveller.

That's not the main reason. I abandon the project for personal reasons.

Anyway, I was not expecting to earn any money on Traveller, but publishing two versions of a niche game in a mall market woud have been a real financial suicide...

Ah, life. I hope it's treating you well other than this project being abandoned. And yes I can totally understand the overcrowded niche market issues. Is there any chance (or interest or desire on your part) that the groundwork you've laid could be put in Marc's trust in case someone else wanted to pick up where you left off?

We'll give everything to the Mongoose team.
I'm not sure Marc would be interested by French stuff.
