Gateway Domain Background - Good Job!

I own and have read through the Gateway Domain background books and pdf suppliments and think they are of good quality and well written. The year 993 background is well fleshed out in best Traveller tradition and still leaves alot of room for the players and referee to expand upon. I also like that any version of Traveller rules can be used. I prefer Megatraveller rules and see no problem using those rules.

I think I am one of the few that like the K'Kree as a major race and see alot of room to use them as player characters and NPC's in Gateway Domain background. The Hivers also can play a prominent role.

Yeah, I'm really pleased with Gateway to Destiny.

I consider it to be some of my best work to date!

(Okay, so some other people might have had a hand here and there... but the vast majority was my fault. I stuck my neck out in a couple of places and it's nice to see how well the end result was received.)

Oh look... somewhere in the site revision I lost my special title... never noticed that before. Probably happened months ago....

Probably about the time the forum software changed and everyone's titles got changed to the defaults...

The co-author thanks you for such kind words...:file_28:

Heh... you can have as much of the blame as you like...! I'm putting my hand up to most of the...umm... 'creative interpretations' of Traveller canon in Gateway to Destiny, is all.

I still get attacked over stuff I published 10+ years ago, and the occasional diatribe about how I should have gone with the OTHER published version of can on for that region/concept etc.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more hate mail about deviating from the old Judges' Guild material. Guess folks must like the new version better.

The Gateway book is excellent, as I said at the time it was published. Some of the best trav material there is. I am absolutely gutted I can't get my hands on Starfall though, I was really looking forward to that :(:(:(.

The judges guild stuff was really...um ....not that good so when compared to your superb book I am not surprised you don't get complaints.

What would be the point?

I mean, I prefer the JG sectors... a nice, and early, domain sized region to play in! It was great. It was minimalist, too....

And since GDW decanonized them 20 years ago, a dead issue.

Right the sourcebook contains little if any rules material and it can be used with any version...I think its a GREAT book. I'm looking forward to more Gateway material now that Hunter is back. I'd love to see a K'kree/Hiver/minor states of Gateway T20 starship book :D

And maybe Starfall again since I missed that supplement.
