GURPS climates

I need some information from GT and/or GURPS Space. (I own all the GT books plus many other GURPS books but they are still in transit while I move.)

Regarding world climate descriptions: Would I be right in thinking they are not freeform but come from a short list of options? If so can someone give me that list? Thanks.
