I seem to recall MT's subtitle was "Science Fiction Adventure in the Shattered Imperium" - so maybe someone's selling a privately hardbound copy of an MT book?
When I googled it...it came up as Ships of the Shattered Imperium...perhaps someone is lying or misinformed into the nature of the hardcover nature of it. Problem is outside of Japan, I don't know of any other parts of the world that produced MT.
So what is this in reference to, if you don't mind me asking...
Jolly Blackburn claimed he bought it in about 1990. I've asked for an ISBN.
If such a beast exists, I'm in curious mode.
The Traveller hardcovers I know of from GDW:
Alien Realms collector's edition (announced, but was it ever released?)
The Traveller Book (I've got one. In bad shape, but I've got one.)
The next hardcover I ever saw was the IG T4 core...

I've got one of the Alien Realms Collector's Edition. Only sold in Germany, was my understanding. The cover is backwards on it, BTW.
Also, they did a CT hardcover of the basic first three books as well, released the same time as the hardcover "Traveller Adventure" - I have all of them.
I've never heard of a hardcover "Shattered Imperium" myself.
No, I have seen the German line...what is being called the Aliens Realms is called the Traveller Encyclopedia. I managed to snag much of the German line and it does not really differ much from NA line and it was the only hardcover of the lot. Marc has put up all the German stuff save their fanzine which essentially reprinted articles from JTAS and Challenge.
As far, I know, the only things that were UK Traveller were the early LBB Adventures 1-3? Which were produced by Games Workshop and also IISS Ship Files and a forms booklet. The big one for Hardcover were the Spanish editions...and as far as I know only CT was the only system that the Spanish publishers had rights to.
