Heaven and Earth maps.

So I used the latest version of "Heaven and Earth" to tweak some worlds I manually created with the old Charts and Tables booklet, and I was wondering if there was a way to import the world map into photoshop or some other graphic program.

Anyone?

Screen capture it. I know it's doable on Windows, but I don't know the commands.

On macs, command-shift-3 or command-shift-4, depending upon which mode.

Print screen key on Windows ;)

(every desktop version since original - influenced by IBM's major requirement for essentially funding windows pre-XP (via licensing, mostly for OS/2) -> CUA-SAA compliance!)

Keyboard labeling can vary (PrtScn, PrtSc are common) and for laptop and modern custom layout keyboards, it often requires special key combinations (like Fn on my MS Arc keyboard and HP laptops).

Combined with Alt or Ctrl (on a Mac ATM!) you can get just the current window or contents of same, BTW.

You don't need to work with screen capture, you can directly save the world maps.
1.) Uncheck the "Save Data Only" option under the "Options -> Save As" tab.
2.) Select "BMP" under the "General -> Graphic Format" tab. For some reason it screws up the other formats, at least on my machine.
3.) Generate your system and modify your maps as desired.
4.) Click "Save Details" in the main interface. The program will save the details, including all maps to the folder indicated.
5.) Find the folder and open whatever map you want with the graphics editor of your choice.
