I've decided to catalogue my entire Traveller collection using MS Excel (2007). However, I can't seem to find the product numbers (located in the top right corner of the cover, normally) for some books, specifically:

LBBs 0 and 1 to 3
Did they even/ever have product code numbers?

LBB 5 High Guard
I know it has one, because I can see *something* in the image of the HG cover on the Traveller Wikia - but I can't read it. Unfortunately, I have the shorter, wider UK printing that doesn't have the product code number in the upper right corner. Can anyone enlighten me as to the number, please?

Supplement 5 Lightning Class Cruisers
I know this came with the game, but I bought it off ebay as a stand alone book. I know the AHL game product code is 818, but does anyone have any idea what the supplement's product number might be, if, indeed, it has one at all?

Atlas of the Imperium
No product code on the cover here either - any suggestions?

The box with LLB's 1-3 in it has the code 301 in the bottom right hand corner.(on back) Presumably they are 301, 302, and 303 because Mercenary is 304. No idea what LLB 0 was, sorry.

Supp 5 was only available in AHL. probably no product number.

Curiously, HG first edition doesn't seem to have a number
I've looked at the image of 1ed HG in the Traveller Bibliography, and it's quite clearly a UK print edition.

This means it's slightly wider (left to right) and slightly shorter (top to bottom) than the US printing. All of the US print size books I have are taller and thinner than the (Games Workshop print-under-licence-from-GDW) UK prints and the US print books all have product codes in the top right corner. My 2ed HG is a UK print, and by matching a US print size book to the UK print 2ed HG, I can see that the part of the book where the product code would be on a US print book is missing on the UK print edition. Which is why the 1ed HG image in the bibliography don't have no product code on it ;)

Yeah but mine is US version and no code :)

Among the curiosities in my collection is a UK edition of Kinunir :) I bought it on eBay a few years back and was kinda perplexed when it showed up and didn't match my other LBBs :oo:

My first thought was "Wow, a counterfiet LBB! I know some are quite rare and fetching good money but this was well done. Authentic stock, realistic wear, somebody went to a lot of work to make this counterfeit look real." Then I saw the "Printed in Great Britain" and it clicked. :)

Yeah, I don't have many UK print size books but they sure look odd on the shelf. However, when I had my first original collection years ago they were all UK print sizes and looked very smart on the shelf...

<Gloat!>

After finishing putting all my books into the spreadshite, I find I have every GDW CT book published :D I also have every MT book (GDW and DGP) published *except one*: 101 Robots (but I'm not sure that's actually an MT book? ISTR it might be a late CT book by DGP? dunno  ).

The bad news is that I have *HUGE* gaps in my TNE, T4 and G:T collections. I have some pdf files for T4 and TNE as well as the CT and MT CD-ROMs, I only actually have one TNE book - guess which one ;) .

Gonna have to start filling in those gaps! :)

Just checked on eBay - there's a copy going there with a starting bid of $ 189.99 (yeah, right, obsessive I may be, stoopid I am not). The back cover image says the book is for use with Traveller and is by the people who brought us LBB 8 Robots.

So it's a CT book.

...........*DAMN!!!!*..............

I saw that too, and cogs and dogs for 200.00 buy it now. Rofl.

Both of those went for 135 together, bundled with some other stuff, earlier today.

My copy of 101 Robots (©1986 DGP) makes no mention of MT, just "Traveller".

It also makes no reference to any CT book either, however.

There's the back cover blurb that mentions Book 8, and I also think that same blurb mentions that the 101 Robots actually in the book were built using the robot rules in Book 8. Hence my thinking the book is actually a CT book.

Anyway, I'm not paying what he/she is asking for it......

The chap that is selling C&D and R&C for $ 200 a throw is pushing it a bit, and that's not the first time those books have been listed for those kinds of prices. The first time they went up he wanted $ 250 a book for Buy it Now.

Yeah I put some bids in for those but was out-bid (not that I needed any of them cos I've got them all, already.....)

I sometimes get the impression that sellers on eBay think Traveller fans/collectors = stupidly rich & brainless mugs ;)

Yeah, or that we're rabid collectors. I mean...

I only have 5 milk crates of Traveller Books. I just wait years for the right price.

I've bought Grand Survey off Ebay for 20.00, listed as D&D Space Game.

Thanks, I had missed that.

So it definitely is a CT book. My Traveller Universe has few robots, so I didn't use it or my LBB8 much.

I admit to being amused by some of the prices. I think I recognized some I sold to pay for med bills at no where near those prices.
