To set the stage:
Its the Second Interstellar War. The Imperium has launched an attack on Epsilon Eridani, neutralizing the world. They have 3 jump troop units landed on the world but no outpost.
Imperial Attention is in effect; the Terrans have this player turn to regain E Eridani or lose the war.
The Terran player masses his fleet [mostly scouts and missile boats] and throws it all at the Imperial forces at Eridani. Epic battle ensues, Terrans eventually win. Then Terran player bombs Imperial Jump troop units, destroys one, neutralizes another.
The Terran player has no ground troops to drop. Absolutly none.
The Imperial player has no reaction phase [he has 1 transport, 1 scout, and 1 monitor left at Gaashida].
In the second Terran Phase, planetary bombardment destroys another Imperial jump troop unit, and neutralizes the third unit. Thus, after planetary bombardment is completed, the situation is as follows:
Big Terran Navy fleet in Epsilon Eridani system.
Terrans do not have ground units.
Epsilon Eridani [a Terran world] has been neutralized.
Imperial Attention is in effect. Glory index as of this moment is 13 [5 at start+8 for neutralizing Epsilon Eridani]
One Imperial unit, a jump troop, is on planet, but is neutralized.
The questions:
If the Terran player does nothing at this point, does the Imperium win the war?
If the Terran player lands a ship, any ship, does this negate Imperial control over Epsilon Eridani?
Are there any other aspects of this situation that I'm not aware of?
