Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.
The server is not properly set up. (There is another post to that effect.) Both uploads and downloads have difficulty. The GRIP software is also not accessable.

I've put the plan on a hosting site until the fLibrary comes back up. It's a pdf you can download Here
The game is going well, although I'm not really using much of what Grip has to offer. I find that if one gets too involved with plotting maps and hunting for / editing pre-genned information it slows the game down too much (especially if you're doing a one to one as I am), so it's really just the chat buffer that's being used and the character sheet stats to do rolls.

You need to set up a system and learn GRiP's short cuts
The adventure editor is great for having tsuff preloaded. I use it as my Ref screen
You can place NPC's (Entities), macros (pre-done speech), you can load all the pics, sounds, files you want in there in any order you want... it's like a tree filer.
then when you are in chat, hit Ctrl-A to go to the ADV editor.
There are alot more short-cuts I've figured out, just post at the GRiP forums or we can run another tutorial and I'll show you
Right now Velshandru and I are making some Traveller gamelets in GRiP format. They will each contain a deckplan for a standard traveller ship with encounter tables, a write-up and adventure hooks.
Perfect for beginner iGM's...
Working, as your 8 is my noon...
If you are around the GRiP Boards and see me, jump into chat and we can discuss technique
Or post specific questions if you like...
