Jelisi 6000 ton Command destroyer

IR detection is a wonderful thing.

tech 12 is a wonderful thing, too. not to mention 13, 14, and 15.

some roman soldiers sitting around a campfire, listening to the techno geek of the times. "in the future, every commander's voice will be echoed by a choir so everyone on the battlefield will hear his orders immediately! and not only will every soldier have a sword AND a bow with a range of 100 paces AND two cubit long steel-tipped arrows, he'll have his own super horse! we're breeding them now!" and all the grunts go, "oooooo" ....

But Traveller technology up to TL15 explicitly does not include stealth fields. We're reduced to the actual laws of physics as they are known to work. And every proposed dodge I've heard about has either had serious problems or implied massive and apparently nonexistent differences in other fields.

Except, perhaps, my own subspace heat sink, but as that would have to take up zero volume and cost nothing, it's not really all that good a handwave.

Now, if someone could persuade Marc Miller to allow stealth fields or subspace heat sinks at Imperial tech levels, that would be great.

Guys I think we've covered this five or six..thousand times :D

The ship isn't intended to be stealth...or low observable, the paint job is just a basic camo pattern. Why do they paint a ship in cam patterns, ... it might help, it might not...but paint is relatively cheap..even space paint...and it has a definite intimidation value.
