Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.
I would say they are the things under the cowlings. Those are listed as the "drives" in the description and instructions of the kit - though I had to get a set of resin replacements since they are not included anymore for some reason
The question I have deals with the manuvering drives. Are the under the cowling which I have assumed as the hydrogen scoops or are they mounted in the rear?
How many drives? The cowling covers at least 4 decks, which makes me want to say two per side. The hydrogen scoops will cover at least 2 deck on either side? But is four enough for a ship that size? There is no doubt in my mind the jump drives are in the main hull. Since this is a Star trekish design their has to be a back up drive in the main hull as well.
If this thought process is correct for a guy who just got off work please respond and tell me that my brain cells are functioning within proper specifications for an individual human who's mind is geared towards Sci-fi role playing games .
All right Citizen of the Imperium, I've run into a little trouble on the home front. Nothing major, it has taken me away from the build.
I'm going to post the Stern template I'm using for the design in a few minutes. The issue I'm running into is the overall size of the build. Even with all the nifty stuff sabredog has suggested I'm going to run into the problem of having more space than major components. Leaving room for some added goodies.
One way to solve the problem, is for you to tell me the actual size for the reactor and jump drive. My stamps indicate to me that the mass of the reactor is ruffly 40 tons. (Remember my stamps are built using 15 by 15 pixels) If the size is large than what I have, I'll make the adjustments.
Just to give you a paper size on the drawing I'm about to post its 11 by 11 inches. So there is plenty of room for me to work with. And it also appears the Stern is actually short than its suppose to be (It a matter of opinion on my part.) I do plan on reworking the Midship section to include a cargo hold and some life boats.
I've finally got the stern section sector ruffed out.
There are alot of details and new equipment being done for this build, thus the delay in posting anything new. Hopeful I show you some of the progress in the next week or two.
Glad to see someone carried on with this after the old threads. I've been gone for close to a year now... lets see 5kt as discussed etc... all great. But we had originally discussed a spinal mount right? I recall someone offered a Laser alternative.
