We have just uploaded the sixth adventure in the epic Secrets of the Ancients campaign for Traveller - like every other adventure in this series, it is completely free to download!

We are passed the halfway point in this series now, and as the title of this adventure may suggest (The Secret of the Ancient), there are some big reveals going on - none of which we are going to reveal here! This campaign has been fully approved by Marc Miller, and adds some powerful new dimensions to the Third Imperium, the Official Traveller Universe.

You can download all the current adventures of the Secrets of the Ancients campaign at;

That definitely puts a whole new slant on gaming Traveller.

Run the game at this kind of scale for Fifth (or any number) Frontier War, and see what happens.

Meanwhile, I'll wrap up the last session for Part 5 just now - I've had them more or less running around trapping supergenius Vargr left, right and centre, using the mutant Vargr's own strengths against them - and they're just about ready to meet ol' Yas himself.

Time to break out The Prop, I think - a big boxfile, with what looks like a whole ream of papers inside, and "Grandfather's Monologue" written on the top sheet.

Well, it worked the other week - scared the Bejezus out of Ramsey Campbell. "Would you like to read my manuscript?"

I'll let you know how that works out ...

Yawn............................

just cough up the whole thing already, after all from what I have already read it just YET ANOTHER retread of previously published materials.

Are the originals Authors (and not just Mr Miller) IE: Harshman, Wiseman, Astell and Chadwick, getting any credit for it?

I actually am not that harsh towards Mongoose Traveller, I WOULD like to see them do something ACTUALLY original instead of retreading already published materials

1) Thanks for offering this epic adventure for FREE.
2) Thanks for re-imaging this classic adventure into a better written and expanded version for Mongoose Traveller.

What I want from Mongoose Traveller is to reprint the classics of the past (with improvements if possible) and to expand upon the classic rule set. Your doing a good job of both so far.

Gray Lensman: They can't "cough up the whole thing" because it hasn't been written yet. It may be collected in an actual book when finished. It seems odd to me to insult a company for offering what's shaping up to be free 250+ page serial adventure though.

In that case, I have to say, you have not read a great deal of the new campaign. It is _much_ wider in scope (and, as someone else pointed out, 250+ pages in length - it must be obvious that new material is in there...).

If they write for it, they'll get credit for it.

Umm... Like Dredd, or Strontium Dog, or the Living campaign, or Cybernetics, or the biggest Patron book evar, or the new sectors, or Hammers, or Dilettante, or all the free material we have done for S&P...

What exactly are you after? If you let us know, we can see what we can do about it!
