My online generators

Perhaps not as fancy as some, but hopefully still useful:

Random subsector generator: http://axiscity.hexamon.net/users/isomage/traveller/subsector/
Random world map generator: http://axiscity.hexamon.net/users/isomage/traveller/world/

All fields on the subsector generator are optional; you can just click "Generate" to get a map. It uses the method in Book 3: Worlds and Adventures, and the random name generator from Elite.

The world map generator doesn't have any options yet; eventually (hopefully) it will take UPP info as input and make a map based on those parameters.

Very nice indeed! The wilderness and cave generators are extremely useful!

Oooh, very slick! And I agree with the rest - the cave mapper is neat. And Form 8 is beautiful.

Very interesting(and now part of my bookmarks file)
I like the cave, wilderness and world map generators very much.

The random person generator was not at all what I expected but is very intriguing(and a nice use of the Rider-Waite deck). It almost looks like a way to give characters a "destiny". An intriguing idea that.

Very cool indeed. Has someone designed one of these for buildings? As I need something more angular eg. more dungeon-like

I just added a new feature to the subsector generator: it can now optionally plot communication routes -- just lines drawn between a world and some random nearest neighbors. The results aren't always entirely sensible, but I think it looks pretty cool :)

Update:

I've made the route-finder aware of starport types. Instead of randomly connecting neighbors it now works by having any world with a sufficiently advanced starport (C-type or better) form a connection to the nearest world with an equal or better starport. So it looks like you get networks of good starports acting as hubs for local lesser-type ports, which seems pretty reasonable.

Nice Job!

Just made a forest map for a scenario I'm writiing with HexGIMP. Thanks.

Any chance you could do the Traveller Hex characters in HexGIMP? and do a hex grid along the lines of the Local map in the back of the Referees Companion?

Cheeky I know, but then if you don't ask!

Best regards,

Ewan

I'm afraid I don't know that one (I don't have the book). No promises, but if you can show me an image I'll at least consider it :)
