Since you are so good at deckplans, are you going to submit deckplans for the "Spinward Ho!" fanzine? Richard did say that if there was something you'd like to see, the best way to get it is to do it and submit it. Since you obviously have the talent, do you think you could help the rest of us out?
well I've had some deckplans up for a while now, but no-one seems to have any game use for them and I don't care to do decorations. if anyone asks me to draw up a ship for their game, sure. richard, good luck with your fanzine. if you think there's anything I might draw that would contribute to someone's game then feel free to ask.

Hello!

Sorry for my lack of response, but I thought I had this threat set up to send me a message when it was updated - obviously I hadn't. I hope to have the first issue up in early June, the 1st if possible, and so far am on target - but any and all articles are very welcome. We now have a website, incidentally, at http://www.tongue.fsnet.co.uk/spinward.html

flykiller: I personally like your deckplans, i only have two problems with using them in a game. One is the lack of a 1.5m grid on the plans itself, which means I have to hand copy them onto a grid to use them, which is time consuming and I have little time to game, much draw. The other is, though you are a completist in creating all the functions needed on a starship, you use non-standard items and don't label them, making it necessary to guess their functions. As I said, I have quite a few of your deckplans on my harddrive, it's just difficult to use them in game.

Good morning, Richard,

Just sending out a quick note to see how the new fanzine was looking. When do you think it'll be ready? Do you need more articles for it? Do you have a final list of the content that you'll be including?

Inquiring minds want to know,
Flynn

Richard,

Please check your email, as I've sent you another article for the fanzine for your consideration.

Okay, so how do things look? Do you have enough to release Issue #1? Or do you still some articles/submissions?

Do you need any starship/vessel/vehicle/robot write-ups? I'm sure a group of us could come up with some things there, if you are needing more stuff.

Hoping this helps,
Flynn

the most useful information for me has always been background info. Cities, maps, Governmental briefs, cutural oddities, any kind of local color, starship procedures, animal info.... et al ad nauseum. Anything that I can use to make my campaigns richer in detail, provide more texture....
One can never have enough background. After all, space is big.
( I mean REALLY big! You might think it's a long trip to the corner store for mixed nuts, but listen.....)
I'm of much the same mind here, background is
important to me ........ ;)
