The table on page 40 of the Core book (not LBB) gives you how many points you'd have according to the terms of service.
Anyway I don't use to like the points systems, as they use to give 'twins' once the player has found a character he/she likes.
And about the MGT point system in particular, I find it incongruent with other Traveller versions (mostly CT and MT, the ones I know the most) in that the more terms you've spent in your career (up to 4), the higher stats you'll have. A character with one term and using the minimum points in stats (equally shared), will have all of them 6-7, a character spending 4 terms, also using the minimum and equally shared among them, will have all his sats 7-8. Of course he may have higher stats. And a character with 7 terms in the career, is likely to have either quite high stats or quite high skills (or both), while in the clasical version (dice rolled), a character with 7 terms will have his/her stats quite reduced, making you wonder if the extra skills are worth it.
