I just noticed that John Steakley, scifi author of Armor and Vampire$ (later made into a John Carpenter movie) passed away November 27th.
In my quest to go back and read major scifi novels I missed in my youth, I was reading the last few chapters of Armor when I did a wiki and discovered this by complete coincidence.
There had been reports in recent years of Steakley working on "Armor 2". No idea how much had been completed before he recently passed.
