I have in the works multiple versions of the Shae'Ak"krii, it's Frigate big brother, and several destroyer escort/destroyer class vessels. from the same design house.
Currently I am not planning to include capital class vessels in my first catalog.. Since i am having to squeeze both military and commercial vessels, small craft, adventure seeds, and NPCs into a 128 page book.
Most share common design features, and hull styles as well as similar equipment based on their roles.
there are many system but few are like this one. the Traveller universe is fun I have been playing it sense 1984, the little black box I bought from a friend who did not like it, as much as Bushido he got too for his birthday.
but we are talking about something that is showing it's age, the original concepts I think are hard to find plausible these days.
We are talking the future view through a 70's Lens and they where really glaringly inaccurate from what I have read of old sci fi books.
but there are new reason now to think of why the Traveller universe is the way its is. . . . .
the ability to teleport instant intime messages can be commonly used for citizens but for military use due to the use of counter communication and cyber-terrorism there can be no secured transmitted data- the old Battlestar Galactica syndrome.
and such but saying this and this well never happen is like asking the Universe to come along and bitch slap you and do it any way!
