Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.
Well I'm sure that for most of us that's going to be a "No Duh" kind of question, that would be a very expensive proposition. Remember how much the German book cost? This would probably be as bad and not with the same level of nice touches about the volume.
Now, I'd buy it even at that price as would most here. But is this place enough of a market?
One book for Aliens (including the uplifts!). Yes, that would be a cache issue for all Ref/GM's and even players or collectors to have--all under one roof, at last.
It would have to be in portrait format and not mangled to suit the other reprints. The reason I bring this point up is because the next reprint of magazine articles says it will be re-formated (to landscape) Challenge articles.

I realize it would end up being about as expensive as the Games Reprint, but, yes, most definitely.
I do have to admit, however, that whether it is one or two books, I will be buying it/them as soon as they are available.
Takei: I wouldn't worry. I am completely sure that the Alien Reprint (whether one or two volumes) will be produced in portrait format. The JTAS/Challenge Reprint was to be the last "landscape" reprint. (According to all of the lists I have seen put out by FFE.)
I would go so far as to say that the entire reason the Alien Reprint is going to be done before JTAS Reprint 3 is because the Alien Reprint is a slam dunk; a pure "copy-job" like the first four Reprints. JTAS Reprint 3 most likely got pushed back because of the incredible amount of formating that is required.
Choice #1: I'd like to see all of the reprints hardbound.
Choice #2: I'd like to see Books 0-8 hardbound, and the rest
be available in whatever format is easy to do [This is basically what
was done with Gurps Traveller. They have a Hardbound main book,
and the rest is in their regular print format.]
I would like to have the all the reprints in a hard bound form .. the size being that of the LBBs makes them easier to carry in your ruck sack...at least the covers wouldn't tear to much !
Anyway I am just thankful that marc is reprinting them!
I'd definitly buy one, it's much easier than trying to collect the old ones (thanks Marc for handing out some copies of Alien Module 2: K'kree at GenCon 2000)I appreciated it and your signature in my book.
I do have one suggestion though, do the book in signatures--not perfect bound with hardcovers. It would be a worthy companion to the hardcover: "Traveller Book" I have on my shelf. Figure that book will be getting cracked hundreds to thousands of times to facilitate play.
