Sony PRS-300 and PRS-600 readers and Traveller PDFs

The new Sony PRS-300 and PRS-600 eReaders are imminent in the UK, in fact the local Sony Centre had a single 300 on display.

Looks like the 600 is the one to go for, but I'm wondering how these new readers perform with scanned PDFs like the Traveller reprints. While text based PDFs I'm sure are fine, it's the legibility of scans that interests me particularly.

Anyone had a chance to try them out?

the PRS500/PRS505 does just fine, albeit a touch small, with the MT PDF's. Screen size on a 505 is 3.6x4.8" or so... the MT PDF's can be read in two modes... whole page showing, or half page (upper/lower) showing in landscape mode.

The 600's screen is about the same, and the same resolution.

To see what it will look like, print your document "4-up". That's about how it's gonna be shown on the Sonys.
