Standard Ship's Locker

Dangnabitt!

*smacks forehead* Duh, I totally forgot that, but perhaps they were hiding behind the Wiley Scout, the Officious Noble and the Scary Naval Officer...

"What, do you mean, they're not on the manifest, sir, plainly it says 'Ship's Ordnance' right there in the contents key of the aforementioned diagram, check it again, sorry *shrugs* Ship's Master is cheap so we had to use small type. See right after Life Support and Petty Cash."

I always like to have a lawyer up my sleeve, just in case.

"I have a cease-and-desist order, and I´m not afraid to use it!"

Never go anywhere without a lawyer.

Um, I'd like to see my lawyer, officer.

Good plan!

*looks at Noble, Navy and Scout, glances briefly at Marines, but shakes head*

So, which you fellas know, law, admin, bureaucracy, or something legal like? Hmmmm...

the ships locker was originally intended to be a plot device to allow ships to carry mundane common sense equipment. sort of a portable general store and junk drawer.

Yeah but....

I see your point but really where is the complete uber geek fun of putting a vera serious list of gear to have on back up in to it in that method.

'Sides, referring to an above Rules Lawyering Comment above, that stuff works both ways.

You forgot the Marine Sargeant with Battledress and an FGMP-15... Never have enough of those...

as I understand the Mongoose rules (pg 102; maybe from other versions, but I don't recall it being mentioned before), FGMP's tend to be dangerous to ALL lifeforms around them due to radiation leakage. Good reason for the whole crew to have heavily leaded vacc suits.
:P

As far as I know, all vacc suits have radiation insulating properties... you are going to be working outside the hull, after all.

Only civilian Environment* suits and Skinsuits are radiation-sieves.

Combat Environment suits would have rad-protection too, I would think.

*unless specified for radiation situations... like nuke-plant worker's suits.

My point is that with an adventure group (as described by Magnus), let's say on ground, Navy, Scout, Noble dressed in standard gear (say jack or mesh armor) and up steps the Marine with his FGMP unslung... I woudn't want to be standing any where around that Marine.
:oo:

SkinSuits and FGMP-Fs

BlackBat242: :p SkinSuits TL C+, "..are in fact nano-tech suits and are proven perfectly safe for routine exposures, sir. *points to the 'Safety' Section of the Cut-holo* See, right there, sir, '...as shown by an independent study funded by the University of Sylea.. "

MacTrom:  There is a reason the folks I learned Traveller from called them "F#&k 'em Up Fifteen"s!!! :D

dewalt

you just gotta have one of these in your kit...

New Nail Gun, made by Dewalt.

It can drive a 6-D nail thru a 2 X 4 at 200 yards. This makes construction a real breeze … you can sit in your lawn chair and build a fence. Just get the wife and kids to hold the fence boards in place while you sit back, relax with a cold beer, when they have the board in the right place just fire away.

With the hundred round magazine, you can build a fence with a minimum of reloading. After a day of fence building with the new Dewalt Rapid fire nail gun, the wife will not ask you fix or build anything else. Available for an additional fee is the 'band-aid magazine' for those near misses when fence building.

I would have to say that even without consideration of any alleged radiation hazard, if someone pulls out a FGMP-15, it is probably safe to believe that ALL of the folks on the other team will immediately decide that the person carrying it is the most important target available, to the exclusion of any other potential target. Thus, if some one is going to be using a FGMP, you should be farther than the blast radius of a grenade from them at all times.

Lol
