Traveller presence at GenCon?

I was wondering about this myself.
If there is no Traveller at Gen Con 2013 then maybe it's a little too soon?
By that I mean maybe next year there will be the Player's Book which would make it easier to entice casual gamers and passers-by into the world of Traveller 5.

Maybe.

I thought maybe Mongoose would have a booth at least. Plus Indianapolis is a little more than 100 miles almost straight east of Mr. Miller and DonM down in Champaign, Illinois.

According to someone over on G+, there is no Traveller presence whatsoever at GenCon. Mongoose is not there, FFE is not there, and the T5 book is nowhere to be seen. The game was not on the schedules, though he managed to put together a pickup game outside of the event, probably still running at this moment.

So who is going next year? Maybe we should plan something now.

It seems strange to me that even if FFE and Mongoose are not attending Gencon US that no one else has stepped up to the plate. In the UK, one of the main function of BITS (which was an all volunteer group) was to ensure a convention presence for Traveller (running games, etc), regardless of any publishers. Maybe there should be something similar in North America ... NATS?

BITS had a tiny geographic area to cover. A bit more difficult to pull off in the U.S.
