Vargr Corsair model

Huh.

I dunno. I may not be that old, but I am old enough to know if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....

The colors and style are just TOO close...

The Blitzspear first appeared in a 2000AD story called "The Terror Tube" that introduced the whole world that was to become the Nemesis the Warlock.
That was 1980.

When was the first image of a Vargr corsair printed?

I don't think there is anything earlier than 82.

I'll need to check my 2000ad collection (all being sold on ebay) but I don't think the Blitzspear was shown in colour until 83.

I always thought the Scorpio (Blakes 7) looked quite a lot like the Blitzspear ...

Going underground, I'm going underground, lalala ...

Damn that's right, flying down the margin. Well the Keith's always were derivative.

Mega City One is the American Eastern seaboard more or less, I'd expect Dredd to be played by an American.
If Sly had kept the helmet on the film would have been much better.

As it is, I always thought the film was a pretty good stab at a Dredd story.

I'm hoping for a sequal, with Judge Anderson and the dark Judges...

Yep. My peers and I thought he'd be ideal for the part back around Prog 500 of so (Halo Jones book 3 time, it was). We were right, too, but he really should have kept his helmet on. I mean, if deNiro did it in Brazil ...
